Not really. I'd just spend even more hours doing things the internet makes easier. Like paying bills, keeping up on world events, keeping in contact with people, keeping up with scientific literature, looking for businesses and directions, etc. Plus, I get most of my entertainment from the internet in the form of gaming, Netflix, and the MythTV scheduler. The internet is a wonderful thing. But I guess your work doesn't strictly require technology the way mine does.
A good portion of my Internet time is spent screwing around on Facebook during office hours that my students rarely show up to, reading Anchorage Daily News and the Sheboygan Press when I should be grading papers, and engaging in pointless email banter with colleagues when I should be working. I don't do a whole lot of Internet at home anymore.
Am I missed? Awwww!!! :-) No, I just use the internets at the library weekly. I do use the internet for searches at work, but I'm pretty sure I'd be flayed alive were I to use it for recreation. There are positives and negatives to this...Positives: as Ursula pointed out, there is a lot of negative misogyny I'm not having to deal with. I've also had more time to exercise and watch X-Files...well, maybe that's not productive, but it is way fun. Also, I'm not so covetous of things I don't know about. :-) The negatives are that I have to get all my news/Cubs scores secondhand from my coworkers and parents. I do rather like being up on those things. But yes, still alive, I swear. AND, Erica, I've been playing a new RPG: Buffy. It is everything I dreamed of and more.
The 17 Bottles Of project began with Urs and Sig and a bunch of other people in 1999. Unfortunately, the original, in a blue spiral notebook, has vanished. It was a fun project, though, so we're starting over. Hopefully this one will be a bit harder to misplace.
2011 UPDATE: Word on the streets is that the J.Mo. has located the notebook and has it in her possession. We'd love to see it some day...

J.Mo. has just dropped off the face of the internet. Sometimes I wish I was brave enough to attempt such a maneuver.
Why would she quit the internets?
Good question. Last night, at the atheist group, we were talking about how the internets were mostly atheist, but they are also pretty misogynist.
Because the internets cost money, I suppose -- and think of all the hours of your life you'd get back.

I'd spend a lot less money, too, because it wouldn't be so dang easy to click "Buy" on Amazon. :)

Well, look who showed up :)
You know, I've never seen any Buffy. I should, because I like Firefly and Dollhouse, which Joss Whedon also created.
YES, you should. It is awesome. If they ever make a movie I will weep tears of joy.
